Operasyon ng IT system ng LTO, nais na mailipat sa ahensya

Hangad ni Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II na mailipat ang operasyon ng kanilang IT system mula sa kinontratang German company na Dermalog.

Ito ay alinsunod na rin sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. kay Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista na gawing digital ang lahat ng transaksyon sa gobyerno.

Ayon kay Mendoza, ang pagkuha ng LTO sa Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) ay hindi lamang magpapabilis sa lahat ng mga isyung teknikal na inihain ng Commission on Audit (COA) at ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Halimbawa aniya ang pag-iisyu ng driver’s license ay nasa 100% na ngayon sa ilalim ng LTMS habang ang renewal ng pagpaparehistro ng motorsiklo ay nasa 95% na ngayon mula sa 70%.

Sa ngayon, isinusulong ng LTO na gawing digital ang lahat ng transaksyon nito bago matapos ang November 2023. | ulat ni Diane Lear
