Nagsagawa ng introductory at exit call ang incoming at outgoing Defense attaché ng Thailand sa General Headquarters ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), sa Camp Aguinaldo ngayong umaga.
Ang dalawang Thai officials ay malugod na tinanggap ni AFP Inspector General at Acting Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General William Gonzales PA.
Nagpasalamat si Lt. Gen. Gonzales kay outgoing Thai Defense Attaché Group Captain Soonthorn Pongampai, sa kanyang tulong at serbisyo sa AFP sa nakalipas na tatlong taon ng kanyang pagkakadestino sa bansa, mula October 2020 hanggang September 2023.
Bilang pasasalamat, ginawaran ni Lt. Gen. Gonzales si Group Capt. Pongampai ng Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines Commendation Medal and Ribbon.
Si Group Capt. Pongampai ay papalitan ni Group Capt. Nirut Rattanajanya bilang Defense Attaché of Thailand to the Philippines. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
