Paglagda ni PBBM sa RA 11964 o Automatic Income Classification of Local Government Units Act, good news ayon sa DOF

Good news! Ito ang inihayag ng Department of Finance dahil opisyal nang batas ang Automatic Income Classification of Local Government Units Act matapos lagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Sa ilalim ng bagong batas o RA 11964, itinatakda nito ang income threshold para sa mga probinsya, siyudad at munisipalidad at bibigyan ng kapangyarihan ang Secretary of Finance na regular na i-reclassify ang mga LGU at irebisa ang mga income ranges ng mga ito para ma-align sa kasalukuyang economic conditions.

Resulta ay mai-streamline umano nito ang proseso ng income reclassification ng mga LGU.

Ayon sa DOF, ang batas na ito ay nagpapakita ng malaking hakbang patungo sa pagpapalakas ng lokal na awtonomiya at nagbibigay daan para sa mga LGU na pagyamanin ang kanilang buong economic potential. | ulat ni EJ Lazaro
