Palasyo, naglabas ng Executive Order na nagpapawalang bisa sa una nang idineklarang price ceiling sa bigas

Matapos na ianunsiyo ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr ang pag-aalis ng price cap sa bigas, naglabas ang Palasyo ngayon ng Executive Order na pormal nang mag-aalis sa rice price ceiling.

Sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order no. 42 ay pormal nang ipinapawalang bisa ang unang EO-39 na nagtatakda ng price ceiling sa bigas.

Sa ilalim ng nasabing kautusan ay opisyal nang inili-lift ang ₱41 kada kilo na price ceiling ng regular milled rice at ₱45 naman ng kada kilong ng well milled rice.

Sa harap nito ay inaatasan ang mga concerned government agencies na palakasin ang programa at inisyatibo na makatutulong sa mga magsasaka, retailers, at mamimili.
