PSA, iniimbestigahan na ang napaulat na data breach sa kanilang sistema

Nagkasa na ng imbestigasyon ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) sa napaulat na data breach sa kanilang sistema.

Ayon sa PSA, agad nitong inactivate ang kanilang Data Breach Response Team (DBRT) para imbestigahan ito at nakikipagtulungan na rin sa National Privacy Commission (NPC), National Computer Emergency Response Team-Philippines (NCERT-PH) ng DICT at Anti-Cybercrime Group ng Philippine National Police (PNP).

Lumalabas naman sa inisyal na assessment ng ahensya na limitado lang sa Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) ang naapektuhan sa kanilang sistema na ngayon ay inaalam na kung may nakompromisong datos at impormasyon.

Maliban dito, wala aniyang dapat ipag-alala ang publiko dahil hindi apektado at ligtas ang mga datos ng Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) at Civil Registration System (CRS).

Sa ngayon ay nagpapatupad na rin aniya ang PSA ng karagdagang preventive at containment measures para matiyak ang seguridad at integridad ng lahat ng sistema at database ng ahensya.

In line with this, the agency, in collaboration with all authorities, continues to maintain and strengthen its technical, organizational, and physical security measures.”

Kasunod nito, inabisuhan naman ng PSA ang publiko na huwag mag-click ng anumang social media posts na naglalaman ng umano’y sample data dahil maaaring may laman itong malware na ginagamit naman ng cybercriminals.
