SBMA Chair, nagbabala sa mga mandarayang trader na kung hindi susunod sa protocol ay iba-ban sa freeport

Nagbabala si Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairperson and Administrator Jonathan Tan sa mga port user na nasa sa truck trading.

Ayon kay Tan, kung hindi susunod sa protocol ang mga ito ay iba-ban sila sa pagnenegosyo sa loob ng freeport.

Sa isang pulong na dinaluhan ng 100 stakeholders, sinabi ni Tan na tututol siya sa mga iligal na gawain na laganap sa freeport, isa na dito ang “under declaration” ng bigat ng mga truck upang mabawasan ang kanilang binabayarang duties at taxes.

Talamak din ang pandaraya sa year model ng mga truck at panunuhol upang mapabilis ang shipment process.

Ayon kay Tan, sinabihan siya ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga stakeholder upang maisalba ang truck industry pero kailangan huminto na ang iligal na gawain.

Sa ngayon, hinihintay pa ng SBMA ang kanilang biniling weighing scale na nakatakdang dumating sa November 15 upang madetermina ng ahensya ang aktwal na bigat ng mga sasakyan at maiwasan na ang pandaraya.

Bababla ng SBMA chief, kung hindi tatalima ang mga ito ay babawiin ang kanilang mga business permit.

Samantala, magiging mahigpit rin umano si Tan sa gumagamit ng kaniyang pangalan upang makapangikil, aniya matagal na itong kalakaran sa SBMA at dapat na itong mahinto sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz-Reyes
