₱77.1-M Flood Control Structure sa Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija, nakumpleto na

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang isang flood control structure sa bahagi ng Pampanga River sa Barangay Ligaya, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.

Ayon kay DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, sa kanyang ulat kay DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, at Undersecretary for Central Luzon Operations Roberto Bernardo, ang natapos na protective structure ay isang four-layered flood wall, na gawa sa pinagsama-samang gabion na puno ng bato na tinalian ng alambre.

Ang bagong-kumpletong flood wall na umaabot sa 1.46 linear kilometers ay nagsisilbing unang linya ng depensa ng mga mababang komunidad malapit sa Pampanga River laban sa potensyal na pag-apaw ng ilog dahil sa malakas na pag-ulan.

Ipinatupad ng DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO), ang istraktura at itinayo sa halagang ₱77.1-milyon sa ilalim ng DPWH Flood Management Program na pinondohan ng 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA). | ulat ni Mary Rose Rocero
