Kinilala ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang matibay na ugnayan sa pagitan ng Kamara at Senado.
Kasabay ito ng pormal na turnover ng Mababang Kapulungan ng 2024 General Appropriations Bill sa Senado.
Ayon kay Romualdez, nakapaloob sa panukala ang P194.5 bilyon, na realigned funds para palakasin ang national security ng bansa, proteksyonan mula sa epekto ng pandaigdigang inflation at tiyakin ang seguridad sa pagkain.
Sa maikling mensahe ay pinasalamatan ng House leader ang lahat ng miyembro ng Kamara sa pagkilatis sa budget at pagtiyak na maipasa ito sa tamang oras.
“I am proud of the finished product that we are now handing over formally to the Senate. The House of the People remained steadfast in its commitment to timely, transparent budgeting, free from the shadows of pork barrel. We meticulously scrutinize every peso, ensuring that it serves the welfare and aspirations of the nation and our people,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Sinabi rin nito na bilang pagtalima sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema, ay nagpatupad sila ng reporma para sa tuluyang pagbuwag ng pork barrel system.
“We have taken stringent measures to ensure that every peso is allocated judiciously and in accordance with the law. Our reforms stand as a testament to our unwavering dedication to serve the Filipino people with integrity,” saad pa ng House leader
Umaasa naman si Romualdez na magtutuloy tuloy ang kooperasyon ng dalawang kapulungan para sa pagpapabuti ng bansa.
“Senate President Zubiri, as this crucial document transitions to your care, I extend my sincere appreciation for the Senate’s unwavering collaboration.
