“Yesterday, Mr Speaker, you hailed the decision of Vice President Sara Duterte to forgo the Confidential Fund that the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education proposed in the 2024 budget. Allow me to join you in saying that the Vice President, indeed, made the right decision…The issue has already caused trouble between and among friends. It has strained relationships. It has threatened unities. It has damaged trust. And as the Vice President has said, it is divisive.” sabi ni Bautista.

“Recently, however, the perception of the public has been disconcerting, Mr. Speaker. The political noise is shifting their confidence to doubt whether our leaders are still working together as one. The hearts of millions of Filipinos had been bleeding as they sensed the air of animosity taking over our unity…Until yesterday (Monday)–when the country’s anxiety was pacified by the assurance that differences with the Vice President would be resolved for the sake of the nation.” paghahayag ng Mindanao solon.

“It’s heartening to know that the cause that has brought us once together is still alive…It is heartening to know that the unity that became our light leading to where we are now continues to burn in our hearts…It is time to move past the issues that take our attention away from the problems that affect our people. As leaders, we are responsible for preventing divisions that could harm our country.” sabi pa nito.

“I am here to call on everyone to support the House leadership…to support Speaker Romualdez. As a member of this legislative body, I join the cause to uphold the integrity of the House and ensure that it stands strong in the face of any challenge. If the House is strong the nation is strong… I am here to join the chorus of those who want this government to succeed. Because if this government succeeds, the Filipino people will succeed and the Philippines will succeed.” sabi pa nito. | via Kathleen Jean Forbes
