Pormal na nilagdaan ng delegasyon ng Young Parliamentarians ang deklarasyon para gawin na silang permanenteng bahagi ng Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum o APPF.

Sa pagtatapos ng roundtable discussion ng young parliamentarians ukol sa digital tehcnology, pumirma ang mga kabahaging bansa gaya ng Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Chile, Micronesia at Pilipinas sa naturang deklarasyon.

Ayon kay Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre, Chairperson ng roundtable discussion, hinihimok ng deklarasyon ang mga kasapaing bansa ng APPF para mabigyan pa ng makabuluhang kapangyarihan at pakikialam ang mga mas nakababatang mambabatas.

Umaasa si Acidre, na sa pamamagitan ng deklarasyong ito ay magiging permanente nang kasama sa programa ng APPF ang young parliamentarians sa susunod na taon. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
