Inatasan ni Speaker Martin Romualdez si House Deputy Majority Leader for Communications at ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo na tingnan ang sitwasyon at pinsalang tinamo ng mga lugar na tinamaan ng 6.8 magnitude na lindol sa Mindanao.
Nasa Estdado Unidos ang House Speaker bilang bahagi ng delegasyon ni Pang. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa kaniyang official business doon.
Batid ni Romualdez na kailangan ng isang komprehensibo at mabilisang tulong para sa mga biktima ng kalamidad.
“With deep concern and a sense of urgency, we address the impact of the earthquake on Southern Mindanao. Deputy Majority Leader for Communications Erwin Tulfo will assume a crucial role on my behalf, assessing the damage and identifying essential resources to support the affected communities,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Handa naman tumalima si Tulfo sa atas ng House leader at nagpasalamat sa tiwalang ibinigay sa kaniya para alamin ang kailangang tulong at tugon ng mga nilindol.
“Our focus will be on understanding the immediate needs of the affected areas and ensuring a coordinated and efficient response to aid in the relief and recovery process,” ani Tulfo.
Linggo ng umaga inaasahang darating si Tulfo sa General Santos City kung saan siya makikipag-ugnayan sa ground commander ng Tingog Party-list.
Inaasahang makikipagpulong din siya kina General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao at Sarangani Gov. Rogelio “Ruel” Pacquiao.
Kasunod ng lindol ay agad inayos ng Office of the Speaker at Tingog Party-list ang pagpapalabas ng P20 million na halaga ng ayuda at 5,000 na food packs para sa dalawang congressional district na apektado ng lindol maliban pa sa pagpapadala ng construction materials.| ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
