Inaasahang mas lalawak pa ang bilang ng mga indibidwal na matutulungan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) kasunod ng mas malaking alokasyon na inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management sa protective services program ahensya para sa 2024.
Ayon kay DSWD Spokesperson Asec. Romel Lopez, posibleng umabot sa halos apat na milyong individuals in crisis situation ang makikinabang sa naturang pondo.
“This allocation underlines a pivotal step towards ensuring that those in dire circumstances and crises can receive the necessary assistance from the national government through the DSWD,” Asst. Sec. Lopez.
Paliwanag nito, ang inaprubahang protective services funds ay partikular na ilalaan para sa paghahatid ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
