Higit 1,400 na raang LGUs, may sarili nang fire stations at fire trucks – DILG

Iniulat ni DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. na marami nang local government units (LGU) sa bansa ang may sarili nang fire stations at fire trucks.

Hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon, nasa 1,484 lungsod at munisipalidad ang may kanya-kanya nang fire stations.

Binanggit ng kalihim na kabuuang 72 bagong fire stations ang naitayo sa loob lang ng isang taon mula nang siya ay manungkulan noong Hulyo 2022.

Aniya, may 150 LGUs ang wala pang fire trucks at fire stations, pero may anim na gusali na ang tapos nang maitayo, 16 ang on-going construction at ang natitirang 128 LGUs ay inirekomenda na para sa priority construction.

Sabi pa ni Abalos, mayroon nang 2,912 firetruck units ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at 465 dito ay mga bagong procurement mula noong 2022.| ulat ni Rey Ferrer
