Kinilala at pinasalamatan ni House Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs Chair at KABAYAN party-list Rep. Ron Salo ang pagtutulungan ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan para ligtas na mapauwi ang mga Pilipino mula Gaza.
“I commend the swift and coordinated efforts of our government agencies in ensuring the safe return of our fellow Filipinos from Gaza led by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) under the leadership of Secretary Enrique Manalo. I particularly commend the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs headed by Undersecretary Eduardo De Vega for taking the cudgels of this undertaking,” sabi ni Salo.
Pinuri din ng mambabatas ang embahada ng Pilipinas sa Cairo, Jordan at Tel Aviv sa pangunguna na rin ng ating mga embahador doon.
“The proactive approach and dedication exhibited by our officials have been instrumental in this operation, showcasing the unwavering commitment to the welfare of our citizens abroad,” diin ng mambabatas.
Isa si Salo sa mga opisyal na sumalubong sa 34 na mga Pilipino at isang Palestinian spouse na dumating sa bansa nitong November 10.
Mayroon pa aniyang 56 na Pilipinong ligtas na nakatawid sa Rafah border patungong Cairo.
“Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our people.
