Welcome sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang pag-apruba ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa karagdagang pondo para sa Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
Ito matapos na ianunsyo ni DBM Sec. Amenah F. Pangandaman ang paglalabas ng Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) para sa P3-B additional funding ng DSWD’s AICS program sa nalalabing buwan ng 2023.
Ayon kay DSWD Asec. Romel Lopez, makatutulong ang pondong ito para patuloy na matugunan ang mga individuals at families in crisis situation na araw araw ay humihingi ng tulong sa kagawaran.
“We welcome the DBM’s approval of the additional Php 3 billion budget of AICS. This is in response to the increasing demand for support services from individuals and families who are undergoing crisis,” DSWD Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Romel Lopez.
Itinuturing din ng DSWD na testamento ito ng commitment ng administrasyong Marcos na agarang makapaghatid ng tulong sa mga mahihirap at mga pilipinong lubos na nangangailangan.
Sa ilalim ng AICS program, binibigyan ng komprehensibong tulong ang mga lubos na nangangailangan kabilang ang cash assistance para sa food, transportation, medical services, at funeral costs. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
