MMDA, nagpadala ng humanitarian contingent sa mga nasalanta ng pagbaha sa Northern at Eastern Samar

Ipinadala ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang nasa 40 nilang mga tauhan para tumulong sa mga nasalanta ng matinding pagbaha sa Northern at Eastern Samar.

Alinsunod na rin ito sa atas ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na tulungan ang mga nasalanta ng pagbaha sa nabanggit na mga lalawigan bunsod ng binabantayang Low Pressure Area o LPA ng PAGASA gayundin ng shear line na siyang nagpapaulan doon.

Partikular na ipinadala ng MMDA ay ang mga tauhan nito mula sa Public Safety Division at Road Emergency Group na nahahati naman sa dalawang grupo para magtungo sa mga apektadong lugar.

Doon ay inatasan silang magsagawa ng humanitarian at relief operations para sa mga apektadong residente kabilang na rito ang pagbibigay ng malinis na inuming tubig.

Ayon kay MMDA Acting Chairman, Atty. Don Artes, bitbit ng kanilang humanitarian contingent ang nasa 30 unit ng solar-powered water purification system na kayang makalikha ng 180 galon ng inuming tubig kada oras.

Mananatili aniya ang kanilang mga tauhan doon hanggang sa ganap nang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga apektado ng kalamidad.

Kasalukuyang nakapailalim na sa State of Calamity ang dalawang lalawigan bunsod ng matinding pagbahang naranasan doon dahil sa walang patid na mga pag-ulan. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
