Kinilala ni Speaker Martin Romualdez ang tagumpay ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. matapos makapag-uwi ng nasa US$672 million na halaga ng investment pledges mula sa kaniyang biyahe sa Estados Unidos.
Aniya, ipinakita ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang kanyang galing sa pamumuno at diplomatic prowess na nagresulta sa maraming investment commitment.
Ipinakita din aniya nito ang malakas na tiwala ng international community sa liderato ng Pangulo.
“The $672.3 million in pledges is a testament to the international community’s confidence in the President’s leadership. This accomplishment underscores his dedication to advancing the economic interests of the Philippines and fostering partnerships on the global stage.” Sabi ni Romualdez.
Ilan sa mga kasunduang ito ay may kaugnayan sa paglalaan ng internet connectivity sa mga malalayong lugar sa pamamagitan ng dedicated satellite, pinag-ibayong pangangalaga sa kalusugan lalo na sa mga may sakit na cancer; paggamit ng nuclear power at AI-powered na sistema para sa pinahusay na weather prediction at katatagan mula sa epekto ng climate change.
Maliban pa ito sa mga tech firm na nagpakita ng interes para tumulong na makamit ang hangaring digitalization at pagiging hub ng Pilipinas para sa technological innovation at excellence.
“There is no doubt that these investment pledges and the materialization of partnerships arising from the exploratory talks on the sidelines of the APEC Summit will have a positive impact on job creation, infrastructure development, and overall economic growth of the country,” saad ni Speaker Romualdez.
Nangako naman ang lider ng Kamara na susuporta at makikipag-ugnayan ang House of Representatives sa Ehekutibo para matiyak na maisakatuparan ang mga ito.
“The House of Representatives is committed to working collaboratively with the Executive branch to ensure the smooth implementation of these investment commitments and partnerships.
