Maliban kasi aniya sa disaster risk resiliency ay makatutulong din ito sa sektor ng agrikultura, maritime safety, paglinang ng imprastraktura, at turismo.
“This welcome initiative demonstrates President Marcos’ determination to address the evolving challenges of climate change through innovative solutions that empower our nation to adapt and thrive. It comes at a crucial time when the Philippines faces increasingly complex and unpredictable weather patterns. The AI-powered weather forecasting system will enhance our ability to predict and respond to weather-related events, ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Ipinunto ng House Speaker na ang Pilipinas ay isa sa pinaka-bulnerableng bansa sa climate change at malimit bisitahin ng bagyo, pagbaha, at tagtuyot kaya’t makatutulong ito para maiwasang maulit ang trahedya gaya ng dulot ng bagyong Yolanda.
Ang Atmos Artificial Intelligence (AI) – enabled hardware ay mayroong software system na nag-aaral ng mga datos upang makapagbigay ng numerical weather prediction at sinasabing mas mataas ang accuracy nito sa U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Dagdag pa nito na mahalaga ang weather forecasting system sa gagawing pagdedesisyon ng mga magsasaka sa kanilang gagawing pagtatanim, para mapataas ang kanilang produksyon.
Magagamit din umano ang AI-weather forecasting sa power generation at distribution utility para maiwasan ang pagkakaroon ng brownout at matiyak ang sapat na suplay ng kuryente gayundin sa pagpaplano sa mga itatayong mga tulay, kalsada, at iba pang mahalagang istruktura. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
