Aabot na sa halos P140.88 bilyon ang naitalang investment ng Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) ngayong mid-November, katumbas ito ng 147% na pag-akyat mula sa parehong panahon noong 2022.

Ayon kay PEZA Director-General Tereso Panga sa kanyang talumpati sa PEZA 28th Investors Night, tiwala siyang malalagpasan ng ahensya ang kanilang target.

Kung saan ayon kay Panga, tumaas rin ng 8% patungo sa $47.79 bilyon ang mga export nito mula sa mga ecozones sa unang siyam na buwan ng 2023 mula sa $44.31 bilyon noong 2022.

Katumbas nito ang trabaho para sa pangangasiwa ng ecozones na aabot sa 1.78 milyong mga manggagawa.

Dagdag pa ni Panga, ang PEZA ay accounted sa P18.33 bilyon o katumbas ng 67.1% ng kabuuang foreign direct investment commitments ng lahat ng investment promotion agencies nito lamang ikatlong quarter ng taon.| ulat ni EJ Lazaro
