Pagbili ng 5 multirole response vessel ng PCG, inaprubahan ng NEDA Board

Inaprubahan sa ika-11 National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board Meeting ang tatlong malalaking proyektong pang-imprastraktura at pagpapalakas ng Maritime Security ng Pilipinas.

Kabilang dito ang higit ₱29-billion na Phase 3 Maritime Capability ng Philippine Coast, na kinabibilangan ng limang multirole response vessels.

Ayon kay NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, palalakasin lamamg nito ang kakayahan ng PCG sa pagtugon sa anomang banta o insidente sa Maritime Territory ng Pilipinas.

Inaprubahan rin ng NEDA Board ang ₱28.2-billion na Pang-Agraryong Tulay Para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka o PBBM Bridges Project ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Layon naman nitong magtayo ng 350 modular steel bridges sa iba’t ibang lugar sa bansa, para sa pagpapa-igting ng access at connectivity para sa agrarian reform communities.

Maging ang revised parameters, terms, and conditions (PTCs) para sa Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway o TPLEX Extension Project.

“We will continue with our commitment to pursue important initiatives to ensure social and economic transformation towards a matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay para sa lahat,” ani Balisacan.

Ayon pa sa kalihim, sa ilalim ng Build-Better-More (BBM) Program ng administrasyon, nakumpleto na ang Samar Pacific Coastal Road Project ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“Currently, there are 71 ongoing projects, 29 projects approved for implementation, 9 projects awaiting government approval, 52 projects in the project preparation phase, and 35 projects in the pre-project preparation phase as of the third quarter of 2023,” dagdag pa ni Balisacan.” | ulat ni Racquel Bayan
