Lusot na sa House Committee on Basic Education and Culture ang House Bill 3174 ni House Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto na nagsusulong ng pagresolba sa classroom shortage.

Sinuportahan naman ito ng Department of Education (DepEd).

Ayon pa kay Deped Dir. Mar Bermudez, umaasa ang sila na mataasan ang annual budget ng kagawaran para sa capital outlay ng hanggang 20% upang makamit ang target na classroom-student ratio, at matugunan ang class shortage.

Kasabay ding inaprubahan ng komite ang consolidated substitute bill para sa regulasyon ng class size at pondohan ang implementasyon nito.
