Pautang ng NEA sa mga power cooperative sa bansa, umabot na sa higit P934 million

Abot sa kabuuang P934.56-million ang halaga ng pautang na inilabas ng National Electrification Administration (NEA) para suportahan ang operasyon ng 24 electric cooperatives (ECs) sa bansa.

Ito ay batay sa datos na inilabas ng Accounting Management and Guarantee Department (AMGD) hanggang Oktubre 31, 2023.

Mula sa kabuuang halaga, P449.71-million dito ay ginamit para pondohan ang capital expenditures (CapEx) ng 18 ECs sa Luzon.

Limang (5) ECs din ang nag-aplay ng CapEx loans sa Visayas at 10 sa Mindanao.

Samantala, walong (8) ECs ang nakakuha ng mga pautang na nagkakahalaga ng P422-milyon para sa kanilang working capital.

Isinama ng AMGD sa pinakahuling accounting nito ang P12.85-million na hiniram ng MORESCO para sa modular generator set gayundin ang P50-million short-term credit facility loan ng LANECO, na nauna nang naiulat noong Setyembre.

Nag-aalok ang NEA ng tulong pinansyal sa mga power cooperative sa pamamagitan ng Enhanced Lending Program nito. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
