Pilipinas, kayang maabot ang 6% economic growth target ngayong taon – Speaker Romualdez

Positibo si Speaker Martin Romualdez na kayang makamit ng bansa ang minimum economic growth target nito na 6 percent sa pagtutulungan ng Administrasyong Marcos Jr. at pribadong sektor.

Kasunod na rin ito ng ulat ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) na lumago ang ekonomiya ng bansa ng 5.9% sa ikatlong quarter ng taon.

Para naman mas lalo pang sumipa ang paglago ng ekonomiya, sinabi ni Romualdez na kailangan ng paggastos mula sa consumers ngayong Christmas season, at matapos ang mga proyekto ng government agencies bago matapos ang taon.

“The government is the principal driver of growth. We expect state offices to ramp up project and program implementation and activities. Funds released to them are meant to be spent, not saved, though expenditures should comply with relevant accounting, auditing, transparency, and accountability regulations,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Pagsiguro pa ng House leader, na babantayan ng Kamara salig sa oversight power nito ang paggasta ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Tinukoy ni National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, na ang 5.9% GDP growth ng Pilipinas ang pinakamataas sa major emerging economies sa Asya.

Mas mataas ito sa 5.3% ng Vietnam, 4.9% ng China at Indonesia, at 3.3% ng Malaysia

Kaya naman paghimok ni Romualdez, na huwag magpadala sa ingay politika at sa halip ay tulungan si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na makamamit ang kasaganahang pang ekonomiya para sa lahat ng Pilipino. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
