Pres. Marcos Jr, nagbigay ng amnestiya sa mga rebelde

Inilabas ng Malacañang ang Executive Order No. 47 para sa pag-aamyenda ng
EO 125, series of 2021 na kung saan ay nililikha ang National Amnesty Commission.

Ang hakbang ay alinsunod na rin sa pagbibigay ng amnestiya ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga rebelde at mabigyan ng pagkakataong makapagbalik-loob sa pamahalaan.

Saklaw ng amnestiya ang mga dating kasapi ng CPP-NPA-NDF na nakagawa ng paglabag sa ilalim ng Revised Penal Code o Special Penal Laws.

Kabilang dito ang rebelyon, conspiracy, disloyalty of public officers or employees; inciting to rebellion, sedition; conspiracy to commit sedition; at inciting to sedition.

Hindi naman saklaw ng amnestiya ang mga paglabag sa batas gaya ng kidnap for ransom, massacre, rape, terorismo,drug cases, grave violations of the Geneva Convention of 1949, and genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, torture, at iba pang paglabag sa karapatang-pantao.

Aprubado rin ng Pangulo ang Proclamation Nos. 405 and 406, na nagbibigay ng amnestiya sa mga miyembro ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), na nahaharap sa kasong Revised Penal Code and Special Penal Laws to advance to political their beliefs.

Sa bisa din ng EO 47 ay lilikhain ang National Amnesty Commission na siyang magpo- proseso ng aplikasyon ng mga rebeldeng magbabalik-loob sa gobyerno.
