Quezon City at International Organizations, nagkaisa para labanan ang Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children

Nakipag-alyansa na ang Quezon City Government sa iba’t ibang grupo para labanan ang nakakaalarmang pagtaas ng kaso ng Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) sa bansa.

Kabilang sa mga grupong ito ang Mission Alliance Philippines (MAP), Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse (CPTCSA), Philippine Children’s Ministries Network (PCMN), Plan International Pilipinas, at ang Royal Norwegian Embassy sa Manila.

Ayon sa Mission Alliance Philippines, ang Pilipinas ay lumitaw bilang isang global hotspot para sa Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children.

Batay sa pag-aaral sa Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children sa Pilipinas noong 2020, sinasabing 80% ng mga bata ay bulnerable sa online sexual abuse.

Isiniwalat din sa 2022 Disrupting Harm Study na isinagawa ng UNICEF, ECPAT International, at Interpol na 20% ng mga batang Pilipino na gumagamit ng internet na may edad 12 hanggang 17 ang naging biktima ng OSAEC.

Ito ay kumakatawan sa dalawang milyong bata. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
