S&P Global Rating, binigyan ng “BBB+”  long-term at “A-2” short term sovereign credit rating  ang Pilipinas

Pinagtibay ng S&P Global Ratings ang “BBB+” long-term at “A-2” short term sovereign credit rating na may “stable” outlook ang Pilipinas.

Ang positibong pagtaya ng  S&P Global sa Pilipinas ay dahil sa sustained economic recovery and strong external position.

Base sa kanilang report na inilabas nitong November 28, sinabi nito na above average ang economic growth potential ng Pilipinas kumpara sa mga karatig na bansa dahil sa stable macroecnomic fundamentals at sound macroeconomic policy ang fiscal consolidation sa pamamagitan ng Medium-term Fiscal Framwork o MTFF.

Sa pagtaya din ng credit rating agency, inaasahang lalago ang ekonomiya ng 5.9 percent para sa taong 2024, 6.2 percent sa 2025 at 6.4 percent sa 2026.

Inaasahan din ng S&P Global na mananatili sa above average ang economic growth bunsod ng ongoing efforts ng gobyerno para tugunan ang infrastructure gaps, improvement sa business climate sa pamamagitan ng regulatory at tax reform.| ulat ni Melany V. Reyes
