Welcome para kay Speaker Martin Romualdez ang pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na hindi na humingi ng confidential funds.
Matatandaan na sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni VP Sara na hindi na siya hihingi ng confidential fund dahil sa nagiging ‘divisive’ lamang itong usapin.
Para kay Romualdez, tama ang naging desisyon ng pangalawang pangulo.
“I believe that’s the right decision, we hail VP Sara’s decision” sabi ni Romualdez sa isang ambush interview.
Kasabay nito umaasa rin si Romualdez na magiging mas maayos na ang relasyon sa pagitan ng Kongreso at ng mga Duterte at nananatili aniya ang kaniyang tiwala sa mga ito.
Siniguro din ng House Speaker na nananatiling matatag ang UniTeam.
Aniya, mayroon man silang pagkakaiba-iba ng sentimiyento ay mananatiling iisa ang kanilang hangarin para sa pagseserbisyo sa mga Pilipino.
“We always work together, it’s still a UniTeam. The president always wants us to work together not just in Congress with the executive but as a country so we will always strive for that. As they always say there will always be differences but we will always work towards resolving those differences for the service of the Filipino people, that’s our primordial concern.
