US ambassador, malugod na tinanggap ang pagpapalaya kay Sen. De Lima

Malugod na tinanggap ni US Ambassasor to the Philippines Marykay Carlson ang balita ng pagpapalaya kay dating Senador Leila De Lima.

Sa Tweet ng embahador na ibinahagi ng US Embassy, sinabi ni Carlson na patuloy niyang susubaybayan ang kaso, at inaasahan niya ang pagresolba sa nalalabing reklamo laban sa dating senador ng naaayon sa batas ng Pilipinas.

Si De Lima ay pinalaya kagabi mula sa PNP Custodial Center kung saan siya naka-ditine ng halos pitong taon kaugnay ng mga kasong may kinalaman sa iligal na droga.

Ito’y matapos na pahintulutan ng korte na makapagpiyansa ang senador para sa kanyang pansamantalang kalayaan habang pinagdedesisyonan ang huling kaso laban sa kanya.
