VP Sara, nanawagan na tugunan ang climate crisis ngayong World Children’s Day

Nanawagan si Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte na tugunan ang climate crisis dahil ito aniya ay banta sa buhay ng mga kabataan.

Ito ang mensahe ni VP Sara ngayong ginugunita ang World Children’s Day.

Ayon sa Pangalawang Pangulo, ang climate change ay nakaaapekto sa buhay, edukasyon, at kalusugan ng mga kabataan.

Batay sa World Risk Index 2022, ang Pilipinas ang nangunguna pagdating sa disaster risk.

Ibig sabihin nito ay mas maraming mga bata ang maaaring makararanas ng mga epekto ng bagyo, pagbaha, at iba pang climate-related hazard.

Sinabi ng Pangalawang Pangulo, bagama’t hindi mapipigilan kalamidad pero maaaring maibsan ang epekto sa mga komunidad at mga kabataan.

Kaugnay nito ay hinikayat ni VP Sara ang lahat na bawasan ang carbon emission at magsulong ng mga programa na makakatulong na magpapaigting sa disaster resilience sa mga komunidad.| ulat ni Diane Lear
