Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, mananatiling mapagbantay sa mga kadahilanan na posibleng magpataas ng inflation

Mananatili ang policy setting na ipinatutupad ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) sa kabila ng natamong 3.9 percent inflation.

Ayon sa BSP, hanggat nasusustine ng bansa ang downtrend inflation para maisagawa ang rate cut, patuloy namang imo-monitor ng Central Bank ang inflation expections at ang second round effect upang maisagawa ang kinakailangang aksyon para maibalik ang inflation sa target range ng economic team.

Binabantayan din ng BSP ang mga banta na magpapataas ng inflation, kabilang na ang mataas na pamasahe, halaga ng kuryente, presyo ng langis,  at ang posibleng epekto ng El Niño sa presyo ng pagkain.

Samantala, makapag-aambag din ang weak global recovery at ang mga hakbang na ginagawa ng gobyerno upang mapagaan ang epekto ng El Niño sa central forecast ng inflation. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz-Reyes
