Nagpaabot ng pagbati ang Nacionalista Party sa pagkakatalaga ni Batangas Rep. Ralph Recto, bilang baging Finance secretary.
Ayon sa statement na ibinahagi ni NP spokesperson at Deputy Speaker Camille Villar, ang pagkakapili kay Recto na kanilang kapartido ay patunay sa hangarin ng administrasyon ng makabangon at lumago ang ekonomiya ng bansa.
Sabi pa ng partido na isang ‘genius’ si Recto pagdating sa mga numero.
“Congratulations to the Honorable Ralph Recto from Batangas for his appointment as new secretary of the Department of Finance. His appointment is a testament to the administration’s determination to strongly push the country’s economic recovery and success. He is a genius in numbers and arithmetic and has wide experience in turning mathematics to concrete realities. We at the Nacionalista Party are truly proud of you, Cong. Ralph. Samantala, ayon naman kay TUCP partylist representative at Deputy Speaker Raymond Mendoza, handa silang makapag-tulungan kay Recto para mapababa ang mataas na presyo ng bilihin at makahikayat pa ng mga mamumuhunan na magreresulta sa trabaho at mas magandang buhay para sa mga Pilipino
“With his long proven track record in fiscal and economic policymaking both in the Executive as NEDA Director-General and in Congress as Chair of the Senate Committees on Ways and Means and on Trade and Industry as well as of House Committee on Economic Affairs, among others, we trust that our good colleague and friend, then-fellow House Deputy Speaker and now-Finance Secretary Recto, will engage all stakeholders and spearhead reforms to get to the roots of food and electricity inflation and solidify the Philippines as a global investment hub where the purchasing power, decent employment, and full rights of working families are safeguarded,” sabi ni Mendoza
