Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) ang nasa 400 kilo ng undocumented pork at chicken sa isang palengke sa Quezon City.

Kasunod ito ng isinagawang joint strike operation ng NMIS Regional Technical Operation Center-National Capital Region (RTOC-NCR) Enforcement Team sa ilang meat stalls sa Star Market sa kahabaan ng Quirino Highway, Barangay Sta. Monica, Quezon City.

Ayon sa NMIS, walang kaukulang papeles ang mga karneng ibinabagsak dito.

Tinatayang aabot naman sa ₱50,000 ang halaga ng mga nakumpiskang agricultural products.

Una nang ipinunto ng NMIS na hindi dapat na ibinebenta ang undocumented agricultural products tulad nito dahil sa posibleng panganib sa kalusugan. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
