Sa pangunguna ng Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC), Commissioner Bai Bainon Karon ng BWC, at sa pakikipagtulungan ng Tanggapan ni Member of Parliament Diamila Disimban Ramos sa ilalim ng Bangsamoro government, ginunita ang taunang National Hijab Day sa Sultan Kudarat Cultural Complex sa Cotabato City.
Nabalot ang buong complex ng kulay “pink” ng mga babaeng naka-hijab na ika nila ang nagsilbing kulay noong ito ay unang nakilala sa buong mundo.
Si Princess Habiba Sarip-Paudac, isa sa mga Radio-TV anchor ng Radyo Pilipinas at kinilalang kauna-unahang TV News Presenter na naka-hijab sa buong history ng Philippine TV ang siya mismong nagsilbing Keynote Speaker.
Ang araw na ito ay nagbibigay pagkilala sa mga kababaihang Muslim ng ating bansa upang palakasin ang pakikiisa at sama-samang pag-unlad sa pamamagitan ng pag-intindi sa estado ng mga hijabi.
Maliban dito, labis na layunin ng National Hijab Day ay ang ipamulat sa taumbayan lalo na sa Non-Muslims ang pagsusuot ng hijab.
Dito, namigay din ang BWC ng mga hijab, nagpasuot din ng mga hijab sa mga dumalo kung saan isa sa ikinagalak ng programa ay makita ang lady troopers na naka-hijab din.
Inaasahan ng BWC na tuloy-tuloy ang suportang ipinapamalas ng Non-Muslim community sa buong bansa tuwing National Hijab Day upang mas napagtitibay pa ang relasyon ng bawat isa lalo na ng mga kababaihan sa ating bansa. | ulat ni Princess Habiba Sarip-Paudac
