Resolusyon para sa pag-convene ng BIMP-EAGA interparliamentary forum, pinagtibay ng Kamara

Inaprubahan ng Mababang Kapulungan ang House Resolution 1552 para ipatawag at mag-convene ang lehislatura ng Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia at Pilipinas para sa unang BIMP-EAGA interparliamentary forum ngayong 2024.

Ngayong taon, ang Pilipinas ang magsisilbing host para sa naturang pulong.

Nilalayon ng BIMP-EAGA Parliamentary forum na mapalakas ang economic cooperation sa pagitan ng mga bansang kasapi ng BIMP-EAGA sub-region, sa pamamagitan ng ugnayan ng kani-kaniyang mga parlyamento at lehislatura.

Inaasahan din na matugunan nito ang mga isyu ng bawat bansang kasapi sa pamamagitan ng pagsasama sa kanilang mga legislative agenda.

Kasama rin sa mapag-uusapan ay ang ugnayan sa larangan ng kalakalan, turismo, agri-business, environment, socio-cultural at edukasyon. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
