Higit 140km ng mga luma at tumatagas na pipeline, napalitan na ng Maynilad

Umabot sa 143 kilometro ng luma at tumatagas na pipelines ang napalitan ng west zone concessionaire na Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) noong nakaraang taon.

Ayon sa Maynilad, katumbas ito ng tinatayang 33 MLD (million liters per day) ng potable water supply na na-recover ng kumpanya.

Karamihan sa mga pipeline na ito ay matatagpuan sa Caloocan, Valenzuela, Pasay, at Bacoor City sa Cavite kung saan ang ilan ay 15 taon na ang tanda.

Nakatulong naman aniya ito para umayos ang pressure at service reliability para sa tinatayang 20,000 customer nito.

Ayon kay Maynilad Chief Operating Officer Randolph Estrellado, ang patuloy na rehabilitasyon sa pipe network ng Maynilad ay para masiguro ang sapat na suplay ng tubig sa Metro Manila lalo na sa harap ng banta ng El Niño.

“Through sustained investments in the rehabilitation of our pipe network, we are able to enhance the overall efficiency of water distribution.
