Pinapurihan ni Speaker Martin Romualdez si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa kaniyang maigting na pagsusulong ng interes ng Pilipinas partikular sa usapin ng ating national interest at teritoryo.
Kasunod ito ng paglalahad ng Pangulo sa ASEAN-Australia Special Summit, ang pagkilala at pag galang ng Pilipinas sa rules-based order at payapang resolusyon sa territorial dispute sa West Philippine Sea.
Dahila aniya dito ay mas napalakas ang strategic alliance ng Pilipinas at China at ugnayan ng iba pang ASEAN member states.
“During the summit, President Marcos reaffirmed the strategic alliance between the Philippines and Australia, emphasizing the shared values and mutual interests that bind our nations together. This reaffirmation underscores the importance of fostering robust partnerships in the face of evolving geopolitical challenges. At a time of escalating tensions and provocative actions by China, President Marcos’s call for adherence to a rules-based order and peaceful resolution of disputes is both timely and crucial. It reaffirms our nation’s commitment to promoting stability and security in the region through dialogue and cooperation,” sabi ni Romualdez na bahagi ng Philippine delegation.
Kasabay nito ay kinilala din ng House leader ang mga nalagdaang kasunduan sa pagbisita ng Pangulong Marcos sa Australia, kabilang ang pinaigting na interoperability sa maritime domain at maritime environment.
