Mas pursigido ngayon ang Kamara na itulak ang amyenda sa economic provisions ng Konstitusyon kasunod ng resulta ng Tangere survey na higit kalahati sa mga Pilipino ang suportado ang Economic Charter Change.
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, malaking bagay na 52% ng mga Pilipino ang sumusuporta sa isinusulong na charter amendment dahil ibig sabihin ay mas marami na ang nakakaintindi at nakakakita sa magiging benepisyo nito.
Makakaasa naman aniya ang taumbayan na makikipagtulungan ang Kamara sa lahat ng partido upang masiguro na matupad ang planong amyenda sa mahigpit na probisyong pang-ekonomiya ng Saligang Batas.
“The approval for amending the Constitution, while slight, is nonetheless significant. It represents an evolving perspective among Filipinos, recognizing the potential benefits and the necessity of updating our nation’s charter to meet current and future challenges. As Speaker, the positive feedback and growing support from our constituents fortify my conviction in the vital mission to refine and enhance our constitutional framework. It propels us to advance our legislative responsibilities with increased dedication and resolve,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Ibig sabihin kasi aniya ay nagkakaisa ang mga Pilipino sa pagnanais ng pag-unlad at mas mabuting kalagayan ng bansa.
“The survey results underscore the widespread recognition among Filipinos of the need for change and reform. It is encouraging to see that a majority of our citizens are in favor of Cha-Cha, signaling a collective desire for progress and improvement,” ani Dalipe.
Umaasa naman si Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. na maging sapat na itong dahilan upang kagyat na aksyonan ng Senado ang kanilang bersyon ng Economic Cha-Cha na Resolution of Both Houses No. 6.
“They should respond to our people’s support for Charter reform by approving RBH No. 6, their version of the amendment proposals ASAP, upon the resumption of our session on April 29 after our Holy Week recess,” aniya.
Batay sa Tangere survey, 14 percent ng mga Pilipino ang “strongly agree” habang 38 percent ang “somewhat agree” sa panukalang Economic Cha-Cha.
