Welcome para kay Speaker Martin Romualdez ang desisyon ng Philhealth na itaas ang benefit package para sa mga breast cancer patient.
Pinuri ng lider ng Kamara ang anunsyo ng state health insurer na itaas sa P1.4 million o 1,400% increase ang Z benefit package para sa mga pasyente na may breast cancer mula sa dating P100,000.
“We applaud PhilHealth for its substantial increase in support for breast cancer patients, marking a significant stride towards advancing healthcare…The decision of PhilHealth to increase the benefit package for breast cancer patients is a commendable move as it will undoubtedly alleviate the financial burden faced by patients and their families during their battle against this life-threatening disease,” sabi ng House leader.
Kasabay nito, muling nanawagan ang House Speaker na palawigin ng Philhealth ang benefit coverage nito ay maisama ang early detection sa cancer upang mas maraming buhay ang maisalba.
“While increasing the benefit package for breast cancer patients is a commendable step, we must not overlook the importance of early detection in saving lives. I encourage PhilHealth to consider expanding the package to cover the cost of cancer screenings, enabling early detection and intervention,” diin ni Romualdez.
Una nang inanunsyo ng Philhealth ang pagpapatupad ng 30% increase sa halaga ng lahat ng benefit package nito, bagay na tugma sa hangarin ng House Leader na makapagbigay ng abot-kayang serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa lahat ng Pilipino.
Matatandaan na inatasan ni Speaker Romualdez ang House Committee on Health upang magsagawa ng pagsisiyasat para respasuhin ang Philhealth Charter at mapalawig ang mga patient benefit na ipinagkakaloob nito.| ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
