Target ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng San Juan na maiwasan na magkaroon ng outbreak ng pertussis sa kanilang lungsod.

Para makamit ito, nagsagawa ng town hall meeting ang lokal na pamahalaan.

Layon nitong bigyan ng edukasyon ang mga residente ng San Juan at mga opisyal ng barangay sa halaga ng “routine immunization” na libre namang ibinibigay sa local health centers and stations. 

Pinangunahan ni Dr. Manuel Mapue III ng Department of Health ang pagpapaliwanag sa kung ano pertussis at paano ito maiiwasan.

Kasunod nito, nagsagawa ng ceremonial routine immunization drive para sa mga batang 0 hanggang 23 buwan taong gulang kung saan binigyan sila ng 5-in-1 vaccine laban sa Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, at Haemophilus influenzae type b (HiB). | ulat ni Diane Lear
