Pormal na iniluklok sa pwesto ngayong araw ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. bilang bagong Commander ng Visayas Command o VISCOM si Lieutenant General Fernando Reyeg.
Sa Joint Change of Command Ceremony sa Bondad Hall, Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City, pinalitan ni Lt. Gen. Reyeg ang dating Acting Commander ng VISCOM na si Commodore Oscar Canlas Jr.
Sa kanyang pahayag, kinilala ni Gen. Brawner ang dedikasyon ni Commo. Canlas sa pagpapalakas ng Viscom; kasabay ng pagbilin kay Lt. Gen. Reyeg ang kahalagahan ng pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at stabilidad sa rehiyon.
Si Lt. Gen. Reyeg na miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy “Sambisig” Class of 1991, ang dating Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, J3.
Nagsilbi din si Lt. Gen.
