Nagbabala si PA party-list Rep. Margarita Nograles na posibleng lumalapa o dumami ang deepfake videos habang papalapit ang 2025 mid-term elections.
Kasunod na rin ito na mismong ang Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ay nagkaroon ng deepfake.
Kaya mahalaga ani Nograles na magkaroon ng imbestigasyon para matukoy kung sino ang nasa likod nito.
Maliban dito kailangan din aniyang higpitan ang Cybersecutiry o Cybercrime Laws upang malabanan ito lalo’t paparating na ang midterm elections.
“It is alarming na ganito ‘yung nangyari and sa Presidente pa ginawa and it is evidently political thing. And we don’t think this is going to be the first or the last. Not just the President. We don’t know who will be next. Kaya nga po dito rin sa House, even the ICT Committee is already going to look into this matters. We’re going to look into our cyber security, cybercrime laws na kailangan natin na higpitan lalung-lalo na na malapit na rin ang elections. Maraming lalabas na lalabas diyan,” sabi ni Nograles.
Sabi pa ni 1-Rider party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez, posibleng may halong politika ang ginawang deepfake ng Pangulo, ngunit ang nakababahala dito ay nagiging banta na rin ito sa ating national security.
“Okay naintindihan po natin probably on the investigation di pa rin natin alam kung sino po iyung gumawa nito, but we can assume siguro po that this is politics. Fine. Granted. Pero the politics that they are now playing is really threading a fine line with National Security concerns. Kasi po yung politics, okay understood, gagawa tayo ng fake news to try to sway votes. But we have to understand someone is listening across the sea. Ating neighbor, China might take this seriously, itong deepfake ay talagang totoo and verified.
