Walang hahantungan ang panawagan sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na bumitiw sa pagsuporta kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ito ang inahayag ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert Teodoro kasunod ng naturang panawagan ni Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez, dahil umano sa lumalalang iringan ng Pilipinas at China sa West Philippine Sea.

Sa isang kalatas, binigyang diin ng kalihim na nananatiling tapat ang AFP sa pagtataguyod ng konstitusyon sa ilalim ng liderato ng Pangulong Marcos.

Giit ng kalihim, ang anumang tangkang ilihis ang AFP sa kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin, upang paboran ang dayuhang interes na kontra sa pambansang interes ay hahantong lang sa isang posibleng kriminal na imbestigasyon. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
