Kaugnay nito, personal na binisita ng Pangulo ang Renal Dialysis Center ng Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) sa Lungsod Quezon ngayong araw (April 9).

Kung saan iniabot nito ang donasyon na nagkakahalaga ng P150 million, para sa procurement Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine.

Ang dialysis center ng ospital ay nakapagsi-serbisyo ng libre sa higit 200 pasyente, na kinabibilangan ng World War II veterans, retired military personnel, at dependents ng mga ito.
“The center, manned by nine doctors and 27 nurses, is also eyeing an expansion to accommodate more hemodialysis patients. It is also working to put up a kidney transplantation center in the next three to five years to provide better quality of life to its patients.” —Secretary Garafil.
Ang cheke na i-tinurn over ng Pangulo ngayong araw ay kinuha mula sa social fund ng Office of the President.
