10 biktima ng human trafficking sa Laguna, tinulungan ng DSWD

Naghatid ng agarang tulong ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa 10 victim-survivors ng human trafficking na nareskyu sa Biñan at Calamba sa Laguna.

Ayon kay DSWD Assistant Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group Irene Dumlao, tatlo sa mga nasagip na biktima ng Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) at Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) ay mga menor de edad.

Ang pito naman ay na-rescue mula sa commercial sexual exploitation.

Matapos ang rescue operations, agad naghatid ng psychosocial counseling at referral support ang DSWD para mabigyan ng temporary shelter placement ang mga biktima.

Sa kasalukuyan ay tinututukan na rin ng DSWD ang case management ng victim-survivors.

Kasunod nito, muli namang hinikayat ng DSWD ang publiko na i-report sa mga awtoridad ang anumang mamo-monitor na ulat ng human trafficking at sexual exploitation.

“Let us break the “no touch, no harm” mentality. OSAEC and CSAEM is a form of violence against children and a punishable crime under the law,” pahayag ng DSWD spokesperson.

Bilang lead agency in social protection, ang DSWD ay nakahandang umasiste sa mga trafficked persons sa ilalim ng Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons (RRPTP). | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
