Mahigit 1,000 motorista, nahuli ng mga tauhan ng DOTr-SAICT dahil sa iligal na pagdaan sa EDSA Busway simula Jan 1 to May 20

Umabot na sa 1,605 ang bilang ng mga pasaway na motorista o hindi awtorisadong sasakyan ang nahuling dumadaan sa EDSA Busway mula January 1 hanggang May 20, 2024.

Ito ay sa kabila ng mahigpit na pagbabawal at pinaigting na operasyon ng Department of Transportation – Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT).

Kabilang sa mga nahuli ang 674 na motorsiklo, 500 pribadong sasakyan at pampublikong sasakyan, 21 government units, ambulansya, at 410 hindi awtorisadong bus o truck.

Mahigpit na paalala ng DOTr-SAICT na tanging mga awtorisadong sasakyan lamang ang pinapayagang dumaan sa EDSA Busway.

Kabilang ang mga ambulansya na may sakay na pasyente, lehitimong firetrucks, at PNP vehicles na may urgent na operasyon.
