Mas malawak na Balikatan Exercise sa susunod na taon, inaasahan ni Sec. Teodoro

Inaasahan ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro na magiging mas malawak na may “full battle simulation” ang Balikatan exercise sa susunod na taon.

Ito ang inihayag ng kalihim sa pormal na pagsasara kaninang umaga ng Balikatan 39-2024 exercise sa Camp Aguinaldo.

Sa kanyang mensahe bilang panauhing pandangal, ipinarating ni Sec. Teodoro ang pagbati ng Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at sa lahat ng kalahok sa taunang ehersisyo militar ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos.

Sinabi ng kalihim, na ang taong kasalukuyan ay naging produktibo para sa bilateral at Multilateral cooperation sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos, Australia, Japan, France, India, Canada, at iba pang  bansang nagkakaisa ng paniniwala.

Ang 3-linggong Balikatan 39-2024 exercise ang pinakamalaking pagsasanay ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos na nilahukan ng 16,000 tropa. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
