Mayor ng Bamban, Tarlac, maaaring kasuhan ng perjury — COMELEC

Posibleng makasuhan ng perjury ang alkalde ng Bamban, Tarlac dahil sa pagsisinungaling nito kaugnay sa kanyang citizenship. 

Ayon kay Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chair George Erwin Garcia, kung talagang nagsinungaling si Mayor Alice Gou ay maaari itong gamiting ground sa anumang disqualification case. 

Sabi ni Garcia, lumabas sa kanilang record na noong April 2021 lamang naging registered voter ng naturang bayan si Mayor Gou. 

Kumpleto ang mga voter requirements ni Gou kung kaya’t tinanggap ito ng COMELEC Bamban, Tarlac noong nagparehistro. 

Nang siya ay manalo, wala rin naman daw naghain ng protesta laban sa kanya kung kaya’t nakaupo siya bilang alkalde. 

Ang citizenship ni Gou ay nauungkat ngayon matapos madawit ang kanyang pangalan sa operasyon ng POGO hub.  | ulat ni Mike Rogas
