Welcome para sa Philippine National Police (PNP) ang naging kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa pagbuo ng isang “Special Committee on Human Rights Coordination.”

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief, Police Col. Jean Fajardo, naaayon naman sa itinatadhana ng Admnistrative Order no. 22 ang naturang hakbang para maprotektahan ang karapatang-pantao sa bansa.

Binigyang-diin ni Fajardo na indikasyon lamang ito na iginagalang at pinahahalagahan ng PNP ang karapatang-pantao ng bawat Pilipino sa pagpapatupad nito ng batas.

Ang PNP din aniya ang unang tutugon at rerespeto sa panawagan ng Punong Ehekutibo na igalang ang karapatang-pantao sa bansa. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
