Pagpapautang ng universal at commercial banks maging ang kanilang domestic liquidity, lumago nitong March 2024 – BSP

Lumago ang bank lending at domestic liquidity ng mga universal at commercial banks noong buwan ng Marso.

Ayon sa datos ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), nasa 9.4 percent o umabot sa P11.7 trillion ang domestic lending kumpara sa P10.7 trillion noong Pebrero.

Tumaas rin ang pagpapautang sa mga resident borrower ng 9.5% dahil sa credit card users, mga bumibili ng bagong sasakyan, at salary-based general-purpose loans habang nasa 9.1 percent naman sa mga non-resident borrower.

Ayon sa BSP, ito ay dahil sa pagtaas ng loan ng mga pangunahing sector sa bansa kabilang dito ang real estate, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, construction, manufacturing at transportation and storage.

Samantala, lumago din ang domestic liquidity ng mga bangko sa 5.7 percent o P17.2 trillion, consistent sa kasalukuyang stance ng monetary policy, mapanatili ang katatagan ng presyo at financial stability. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz Reyes
