Kinumpirma ni House Committee on Ethics and Privileges vice chair Jil Bongalon na kinuha na ng komite ang hurisdiksyon para dinggin ang reklamo laban kay Davao del Norte 1st district Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez.
“So basically, the committee on Ethics and Privileges has already acquired jurisdiction over the case, considering that the committee was able to determine the sufficiency of its form and content of the sworn complaint affidavit filed by Mayor Rey T. Uy of Tagum City,” paliwanag ni Bongalon.
“Number 1, it was alleged by the complainants the continued and unjustified absences of Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez for his failure to attend physically the committee meetings and the sessions of the House of Representatives. Number 2 the libelous remarks made by Congressman Alvarez against his co or fellow government officials like the vice governor of Davao del Norte and other local officials in their area. And number 3 which is the very strong allegation is the seditious remarks made by Congressman Alvarez during the rally that transpired during this month of April,” ani Bongalon.
“I submit my case to the best judgement of the House Ethics Committee,” sabi ni Alvarez. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
